May 1st is an important date in the 2023 calendar year for many reasons. Not only do we observe Beltane, but this is also the day that Pluto stations Rx, the first time since it moved into Aquarius in March 2023. What does this hold in store for you?
On a major scale, Pluto in Capricorn has been putting pressure on big existing structures that govern and rule our lives. Obvious ones are the government, healthcare, the stock market, the federal reserve, utilities, and educational systems (think about common core and student debt). For some, the pressure of Pluto has been too much and they feel the answer is to completely abolish the structures, starting over entirely.
Pluto in Capricorn has highlighted the power dynamic of top-down leadership. Few have all the power, and there is an imbalance in the resources we all use to sustain our lives.
In Aquarius, Pluto will initially want a radical revolution. This innovative and technology focused archetype is driven by an idealistic vision for the future. All for one, and one for all.
Pluto has had a taste of Aquarius and you can already feel the collective energy start to push towards a more ‘ideal' lifestyle and way of governing ourselves. Change management is key for a successful transition. This is true for the masses, as well as for us as we experience this on a more intimate scale.
Consider where the Capricorn and Aquarius axis falls in your chart, and this will give more insight to your experience and strategies to manage the transformation Pluto offers.
Aries/Aries Rising
10th & 11th Houses. Consider where you want to be going in your career and ask if your current social network is giving you the opportunities you're desiring.
Taurus/Taurus Rising
9th & 10th Houses. What have you learned in the last decade, and are you sure you know how to apply it in a meaningful way that leaves a legacy you can be proud of?
Gemini/Gemini Rising
8th & 9th Houses. It's always easier to see someone else's closet and criticize the skeletons inhabited there. It isn't as easy to acknowledge your own need for growth. Be open to feedback.
Cancer/Cancer Rising
7th & 8th Houses. Who have you committed yourself to? And were they who you thought they were? If not, begin the work on cutting all ties, especially contractual ones.
Leo/Leo Rising
6th & 7th Houses. You cannot pour from an empty cup - this cliche continues to be a popular phrase because it rings true throughout the ages. When you're done taking care of yourself, you'll find it is easier to be generous with your love.
Virgo/Virgo Rising
5th & 6th Houses. Are you having any fun? Where you've had some difficulty in feeling liberation in romance, you'll find that your health improves when you engage in activities which....loosen your joints. ;)
Libra/Libra Rising
4th & 5th Houses. You're ready for a home that feels more long-term. Perhaps one where your children (or fur babies) can grow up and put down roots. This is a time to re-evaluate what 'home' means to you.
Scorpio/Scorpio Rising
3rd & 4th Houses. If you've lost contact with old friends, consider which ones are worth reaching out to and re-kindling what was once a safe space. No one knows our trauma as well as the children who lived it with us.
Sagittarius/Sagittarius Rising
2nd & 3rd Houses. You're realizing that a sense of safety and security are not just financial means. Getting into the 'right' neighborhood and changing up the scenery will help clear your head for awhile.
Capricorn/Capricorn Rising
1st & 2nd Houses. You've been putting a lot of pressure on yourself and it's important to remember that you don't need to be everything for everybody. Get clear on the expectations you've set for yourself and know that is the most important relationship to invest in at this time.
Aquarius/Aquarius Rising
12th & 1st Houses. Transforming your persona and identity into the best version of yourself, will require rewiring the neurological pathways you developed as a way to cope and dissociate from your fear of failure. You can do it, it's ok to ask for help.
Pisces/Pisces Rising
11th & 12th Houses. With friends like these, who needs enemies? There is a saying that you become the five people you spend the most time with, so choose wisely and be willing to say goodbye to anyone you wouldn't want to trade places with.
